Fran├žois Willaime

Fran├žois Willaime graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris in 1987 and obtained a PhD degree in Solid State Physics from University of Paris-South under the supervision of G. Martin in 1991.

After a postdoc at UC Berkeley with Prof. L. Falikov, he joined the Physical Metallurgy Laboratory at CEA-Saclay. Since 2007, he has served as head of this laboratory, composed of 30 permanent staff members. His main field of expertise is the multiscale modelling from first principles of materials under irradiation. He his co-author of about 50 peer reviewed papers.
